Statement
The titles we all carry around can become like heavy layers distorting our perceptions of the world and how we see ourselves in it. Time at the easel is my sacred space and I hope to share that with the viewer through my brush strokes. My underwater paintings are meant to represent moments between breaths, moments between action, and the self that remains when one is utterly alone. When the titles of the parent, spouse, caretaker, giver, provider, good and bad dissolve away we are left with the truth of who we are. My Idealistic styled oil paintings seek to represent an inward reflection and acceptance of the self.
